Cork

Is one of the most environmentally friendly product available in the flooring business. It is the only wood product you can install that no trees are cut down to harvest. Cork is a special tree bark that is peeled from live oak trees in northern Spain and Portugal. The tress are unharmed during harvesting and the bark grows back every 9 years and can be reharvested after that. These trees live over a hundred years and can be peeled every 9 years.

The natural properties

of the bark make cork fire, insect, mold and mildew resistant. It also acts as a natural static dissipater so when you sweep or swiffer no static cling occurs.
